Random: Celebrities and Politicians

Salam all... greetings from Ipoh! How are you today? I'm in Ipoh with my family. It is suppose to be a holiday for me and the kids while Juma is attending some work at UTP. However, we are stuck in the hotel due to no transportation. Juma uses the car to work and with that, we have no car left for us to go around the town, except for waiting him to get back.

Well, this post is quite random. Let's take a look at what is happening around us.

1. Nabila Huda and her new boyfriend.

Who is she? She is an actress and daughter to famous Malaysian rocker, Amy Search. She is a divorcee and her taste in fashion is always a top story in Malaysia celebrity world. Lately, she told the press that she is in love and wants the whole world to see her happiness. But the most foolish mark from her is when she quoted to the media that the guy is not her boyfriend but rather to be call as her soulmate. Wow! That's pretty fast for me to give that title to a person. Let us see how long will this relationship last.

p/s: Sorry, can't post more pictures. Me is holding myself from vomit.

2. Muhammad bin Muhammad Taib  (Mat Taib) joins PAS

Former UMNO vice president and Selangor Menteri Besar has joined PAS, a religious party and comment that although Barisan Nasional had done a lot to Malaysia development, but the party isn't relevant anymore. He also told the press that he wants to see school children (girls) and tv presenter (ladies) to wear head scarf. I totally agree with the idea because keeping our aurat is nothing negotiable. But, look at his daughter. She is a singer and not wearing hijab. So, how are you going to educate others if you fail to educate your own child? But nothing is surprising about the man who hold the name Muhammad twice. He elope late Sultan Selangor's daughter and got married in South Thailand. He also had to stepped down from his Menteri Besar p0st after been arrested in Australia for not declaring the money he brought into the country. How much that he brought in? It was RM3.8 million. It is kind of a lot for a former teacher who left the job to be a politician. Come on PAS! Are you to desperate to conquer Putrajaya till you invite this kind of man to your campaign talk? How sad!

3. Reese Witherspoon lost her coolness

I think she is super talented as an actress and she personally has not much wild gossip surround her from the beginning of her career till last week. It was a surprise that she been arrested along with her hubby. Her husband was charge for driving under influence (DUI) while she... err.. for being rude to the police. Reese, who was drunk during the arrest time was questioning the Atlanta police whether he know her name. Her arrogant behaviour perhaps is her alter ego when she is drunk. Look at how the alcohol could do the damage to you. The good reputation that she built all this while gone at one night, because of the alcohol. That's why Islam doesn't allow Muslim to take alcohol.

4. Celebrities and Gaza

World pities the fate of Palestinians and condemns Israel's attacks towards Palestine. In Malaysia, many initiatives are done in the name of humanity towards Palestinians like donation, education opportunity and so forth. And lately, few celebrities visit Palestine, for many purpose. For documentation shooting, to charity work and for business purposes. That is good because the more people be there, the more exposure the rest will get about Palestine. But what trouble me is the celebrities comment on their feeling when they were there. They said that they feel peaceful when they are in Palestine because the people are redha on what's going on with them and they take it as Allah's test on them. The question is, do you need to get your ass to get the feeling of peaceful and take it as Allah test when you feel down (or high)? I think when you get the concept, you will feel peaceful in anywhere. Peace out!

p/s: I really HATE to see Muslim ladies who wear hijab 'halfway' like Fara Fauzana shown. It feels like telling the world that I'm not wearing hijab in daily basis but I have to wear it at certain occasion. What a shame!

Baking: Passion and One Step Further

Assalamualaikum all... How's the weather? Mine not so cool. It is damn hot since three days ago. No rain in my area (Sungai Buloh) which cause a dusty atmosphere besides hot. I think I'm catching sore throat, Aaron is having flu and Juma just told me that he had a bad cold yesterday, upon arriving in Bangkok.

But the bad weather can't slow down my baking pace. I've been trying few recipes lately. I can't remember whether I've mentioned this before, but you can find my cuppies in few restaurants around my area. I also starting to cater for events. Last week, a well-known restaurant placed few cupcakes order. I'm glad to have that chance. Eventually, I've called the owner to ask him whether I can put my cupcakes at his restaurant but he sadly he said no. On the next day, I had a food testing appointment with a restaurant-er , which was new to his restaurant. I passed him, carrying the cupcakes in a container. He looked at my face and I just smile as I guessed he was the owner of the restaurant that rejected my offer.

As I was walking towards my car after the meeting, a lady, which I assumed as his wife, stopped me. She asked me whether I'm selling the cuppies and I told her in brief what's bring me here. The husband quickly verified with me that I was the one who called him earlier. The owners of the restaurant told me that they need people to bake cuppies for them tomorrow, in the morning. I told them that I'm up to the challenge. So, that's how I started to get order.

Mini lemon cuppies
Mini Red Velvet cuppies
And today, Kak Gee (the restaurant owner), ordered red velvet cupcakes and cream puff with custard filling for this Saturday. Yay! More orders! I think she loves using my service because of my charges; which is damn cheap! Hiks!

Rocky Road Brownies' topping
Ok people, need to catch some rest. Nites! Oh ya, if you need cuppies, cream puff, trifle or any desserts and happens to be you are in Sg Buloh, Damansara Damai, Kota Damasara, please give me a call at +6013-3828156 for quotation. You'll be surprise with my price!

More cupcakes and new venture!

Asslamualaikum all..

It is cupcake fever in me, currently. As I mentioned in earlier post about Laura Vitale's website, myself can't stop from making cupcakes. But today, I tried other dessert and from Martha Stewart recipe. However, it didn't go well, so I won't recommend you to try it.

Lemon cupcake with cream cheese frosting
About the cupcakes, I manage to make myself a little bit busier than usual by selling it at a restaurant near to my house. I put my lemon and chocolate cupcakes for the start. I called up the restaurant and the cashier informed me that few cuppies are sold. Yay!

Red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting
I'll visit another restaurant near to my house tomorrow, for cuppies testing session. I've prepared chocolate and red velvet cupcakes already. I'll bake the lemon ones tomorrow. Hopefully everything will go well. Pray hard for me ya!

Till then, stay tune!

Homeschool: Preposition

Assalamualaikum all...

Do you realize my blogging pattern? If you really observe, I usually blog when Juma (my husband) isn't around. Haha. Not that he doesn't allow me to blog or he takes to much of my time, just that I usually blog at night. But when he is around, I'll spend my night with him.

Well, today he is off to Bangkok again, for couple of days. Hopefully he will be back for this weekend. And my routine went on as usual.

Today, I spent few quality minutes with Maleec, teaching him on preposition. I emphasized only on 'in', 'on' and 'under'.  However, the objective isn't achieved. Maleec didn't get what I meant. He knew that it is all about the preposition but he refused to follow what I say.

I have to find other way to make him understand each word and when to use it. I'll make it done by this week, insya Allah.

Few days earlier, I sat with him with animal ensiklopedia.  It was so amazing that he knows 90% of the animals in the book. Maleec also could describe the nature of those animals, e.g, elephant with trunks, zebra wit black and white stripes, tiger can roar, etc. I was shocked but of course happy with his knowledge. Great job, sayang.

And now, Maleec loves to keep on making clear to people that he is always a 'good boy' and whoever fall under his dislike status will be label as 'naughty' and whoever he likes will be 'good boy'.

Pandai anak mummy sayang ni!

Girls Day Out

Assalamualaikum friends! I'm so sorry for not updating my blog for few days. I've been busy since Juma is back from Bangkok.

My day today is not like the normal routine. I was out to Suria KLCC, meeting my dear friends, Aishah and Fadlina. We were colleague when I was in IFRC. Fadlina is working as Finance officer for German Red Cross while Aishah was with Disaster Law before she joins Khazanah Berhad. We were s close and we usually enjoyed lunch together, along with Munie. But Munie wasn't able to join us since she is in Geneva.

from right, Aisha, Fadlina, Me
It was good to have a not-so-quick catch up. Many topics were covered, from family to side income. They said I look fresh and healthy, yay! I felt like it was the real-life Sex and the City series, when all the girlfriends gather and dish out about that life and get into topics! Hahaha. Aishah is my dear friend, since I entered IFRC. She was there throughout my rough time and also share a lot of momentous moments with me. She said she was surprise seeing how well I'm as a housewife. I just smiled at her because I understood what she meant.

For your information, this is my third attempt of becoming a housewife. I failed two times, merely because I can't stay at home and do nothing. I told them my secret that make the third one as a charm. Now, let me share it with you. It's gardening and baking! I enjoy baking since I was a teenager but I wasn't a person who appreciate outdoor activities. But the new house changed me as I determine to decorate the garden by myself. Don't worry, I'll write a post on my garden oneday...

Aishah and Fadlina just join a Multi Level Marketing (MLM) business recently and I'm hppy for them. i'm happy that they have side income, it means that they are thinking about back-up plan. I believe that everybody has ti have a back-up plan, for, well, in case things don't get well like we planned. Their spirit is a wake call for me to make my plan happen. I really want to start my own business and be serious about it. Actually I've started doing it awhile ago but didn't serious in marketing. Now, I have to       make strategy and work on it.

First thing to market are my cupcakes and cookies. Talking about cupcake, I've tried a recipe from Laura Vitale and it turned out well! It was so damn delicious. You should give yourself a try!

Ok people, it's time for me to pull my blanket. Have a great weekend!
